The RCA Team
I am the founder and director of Real Clear Apologetics. My interest in apologetics first began in high school, when I learned of ideologies that were intellectually problematic in their proposals. Additionally, I witnessed many Christians who were unable to explain, let alone defend, their faith. So this got me thinking more about my own faith.
I did my undergrad at Biola University where I double majored in philosophy and political science. I went on to earn two Masters degrees, one in Christian Apologetics from Biola, and the other in Systematic Theology from Kings College London. My theological interests include theological anthropology, hamartiology, soteriology, divine providence, and issues surrounding Christian culture. I also enjoy American political history and economics, of which I currently blog about at valuesandcapitalism.com.
I enjoy drinking Dr. Pepper and spending time with my wife, Michaela. We are currently living in the suburbs of Chicago.
I am a visiting scholar at Real Clear Apologetics. I am married to my wonderful wife Christine. We currently reside in Oxford, England where I am pursuing a doctoral degree in political theology. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley (B.A. History) along with masters degrees from Biola University (M.A. Education) and Talbot School of Theology (M.A. Philosophy).
As former university lecturer in philosophy and theology, I now serve as a public speaker for Apologetics.com, as director of ApologeticsUK.com, and as visiting scholar at Real Clear Apologetics. I have been a frequent seminar and keynote speaker at conferences around the world, addressing topics such as religion and politics and Muslim-Christian relations.
I enjoy camping; volleyball is the greatest sport; and nothing beats late night philosophical and theological discussions with friends except for praying over and applying those discussions to the hard realities of world poverty, social justice, and global capitalism.
The Marketing and Social Media at RCA is my department. I hold a degree in Media and Communication Studies from Florida State University, and I’m currently earning an M.A. in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. I do social media consulting and management for individuals and small businesses. I love being able to couple my interests in media marketing and apologetics here at RCA. My interests in apologetics include why God allows evil and Christian cults (Mormonism in particular).
I enjoy traveling, crafting, and interior design and décor, of which I blog about at simpledomesticity.com. I also happen to be married to Kurt and I love living life with him.
I have been working as a web designer and developer since August 2009, and have worked with local and international companies and programmers teams on various business, educational and social websites. WordPress has been my most favorite platform, and I am known for WordPress customization and enhancements into default features. I am experienced with, but not limited to Social Media Integration, MultiSite, Search Engine Optimization, plugins and themes customization, HTML or any other platform to WordPress Conversion, PSD to HTML and WP Theme, and almost any plugin configuration and customization.
I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. I am neither especially clever nor especially gifted. I am only very, very curious.
